Can you bake wihtout it if you dont have them? I have a recipe that calls for 1/2 tsp baking soda and 1tsp baking powder. I omitted them because i didnt have them. Whats gonna happen/?Whats the purpse of baking poweder and baking soda in recipes?

for balance and to make dough rise...without it your bread or rolls will become hard and it will not rise nice and fluffy
they cause chemical reactions (gas bubbles)
and YES you can leave them out
but it won't be the same
Baking powder/soda are leaveners, which mean they cause chemical reactions which makes the food rise...without the leaveners, your food will be flat and might taste off.
