Jalapeno Popper Spread
';This will definitely be the biggest hit at the party! This is such an easy appetizer to make and it tastes just like the jalapeno poppers you wish you could make yourself! The hardest part of this recipe is not eating it all by yourself! Serve with sliced sourdough baguettes, tortilla chips or crackers.';
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup mayonnaise
1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chilies, drained
2 ounces canned diced jalapeno peppers, drained
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Stir together cream cheese and mayonnaise in a large bowl until smooth. Stir in green chiles and jalapeno peppers. Pour mixture into a microwave safe serving dish, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Microwave on High until hot, about 3 minutes.Does anyone know any good cracker spread recipes ?
This is so simple and everybody just loves it, buy a jar of Mezzetta red bell pepper relish and pour it over a block of cream cheese, even the dr's at work loved it and they are picky eaters.
I use a can of garbanzo beans (chickpeas) or Great Northern Beans, drained and placed with garlic, herbs, seasoned salt, pepper, etc. in a food processor and process until desired consistancy.....Easy and good!!! You can even make hummus (ground chickpeas and tahini [sesame paste])
Cheap, easy and probably in your cupboard.......
Enjoy!

no one can beat good-ol cheez-whiz especially the one with pimientos or better finely minced-jalapeno's
You can also use smoked salmon, light cream cheese and squeeze a lemon on it.
I like feta cheese. I crumble it and put it in a blender with a package of Knorr Vegetable Soup Mix and blend it until smooth adding a tablespoon of fat free half and half at a time. It is high in protein and low in calories. Spreading it on crackers does not make me feel as guilty as when I use other spreads.
I also like to get whipped cream cheese and mix in some fresh chives., or some dried cranberries, or some crushed pineapple (drained).
I also like Hummus. Get...
1 can (15-16 oz) chick peas, drained
1 tbsp olive oil
Juice of 2 lemons
4 cloves garlic, peeled
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup tahini (sesame seed paste with oil)
1 tsp strong paprika
1 t cumin
Dash of cayenne
Cilantro to taste
Place chick peas, olive oil, lemon juice and garlic in processor and puree. Add remaining ingredients. Blend until creamy. If mixture is too thick, add a little more lemon juice. Garnish with regular black olives and serve with pita, lavosh or thin crackers.
Makes 2 cups.
I like cream cheese with red pepper jelly on top. I could eat that until next year. Red pepper jelly is actually sweet and usually not too hot. I avoided it for years and then when I had it I said 'Wow..is that every great!'; I also like tapenade which is an olive spread. You can buy it it lots of stores.
Cream cheese spread on a cracker and top with a dollop of hot pepper jelly. I would eat this as an after school snack as a kid.
Here's my favorite. I made it for work and everyone went crazy!
Cream Cheese Cracker Spread:
5 green onions with tops, chopped
1 lg. can black olives, chopped well
1 cup finely grated sharp cheddar cheese
3-8oz. cream cheese, softened
Dash garlic powder
Dash onion powder
Salt
Pepper
Blend all ingredients together (I use a hand mixer). Serve in a pretty bowl with crackers.
It's awesome! Enjoy!

whip mayo with oregano and red chilli powder...top it with blue cheese....
my bro and me also love this peanut butter, garlic paste and honey spread on crackers...
I always keep several packages (8 oz) of cream cheese in the refrigerator for last-minute dips:) .... You can blend a package of softened cream cheese with just about anything for a dip! Select from some of these: grated cheese; sliced green or black olives; fresh herbs; feta cheese; sliced deli meat (which I pulse on the food processor); a refrigerated pkg. of braunsweiger ... You can season with horseradish, mustard, a little salad dressing, herbs %26amp; spices ...... Just about ANYTHING will work!
